The other day, our model cat Cha-chan went viral on Twitter, and as a result, our protective clothing for cats unexpectedly gained a lot of attention.

Even though it's not meant to be fashionable cat clothing, it looks so adorable on Cha-chan, doesn't it? (laughs)

Our newly released "Okayama Denim" cat collar is also a confident creation that will make your cat even cuter! This time, I'd like to share all its charms with you.

The Holy Land of Denim: Kojima District, Okayama

Have you ever heard of Okayama denim?

When it comes to denim, American brands are famous, but "Okayama denim" is currently gaining attention.

Originally, the Kojima district of Kurashiki City, Okayama Prefecture, was a prosperous area for cotton cultivation. Craftsmen in weaving, dyeing, and sewing gathered there, and denim production began.

"Kojima Jeans Street" is lined with jeans shops from long-established brands and young creators. The quality of "Made in Japan" is said to be attracting buyers from all over the world.

Just imagining making a cat collar with denim from such a "holy land of denim" gets me excited!

Soft and Supple Denim Fabric

Though it's denim, it's not a stiff, thick fabric.

We chose a carefully woven thin denim fabric for the cat collar. It has a very soft texture, not stiff at all, but rather supple. And of course, it's 100% cotton.

It's authentic indigo-dyed denim. Yet, it's gentle on cats. That's what I love about it.

Since it's Okayama denim, we wanted to be particular about the color of the stitching and the buckle! After much deliberation, we created prototypes until we were completely satisfied.

The result is a stylish and functional cat collar that is truly unique to "Okayama Denim," showcasing the artisans' skill!

Okayama Kojima Denim Cat Collars come in 4 colors

The "Okayama Kojima Denim Cat Collar" comes in 4 colors: blue, navy, black, and hickory. Each color is available in both normal and ribbon styles.

The buckles are antique-style, inspired by denim rivets. They pair perfectly with the orange stitching!

The moderate thickness prevents the buckle from loosening easily.
