[New product] Ethnic Tyrolean cat collars are now available

This time, I'd like to introduce the new, limited-edition "Tyrol Cat Collar Series."

The Tyrol Cat Collar Series features stylish and comfortable cat collars made with Tyrolean tape. The slightly ethnic woven pattern is lovely, isn't it? It seems to suit cats with a calm demeanor.

I'm so happy to introduce these cat collars, as they were highly requested!

Tyrolean Tape for Cat Collars

Tyrolean tape refers to a ribbon woven with patterns such as flowers, animals, and geometric designs.

Originally, it was a traditional folk art from the Tyrol region, around Italy and Austria. It was used to decorate folk costumes and various small personal items.

Now, it has spread worldwide and is even used in Indian saris. It's also popular as a material for handmade crafts.

The delicate and simple patterns are so cute that you'll want to gaze at them forever... I love their somehow nostalgic and warm feeling.

When I visit a specialty store for Tyrolean tape, I tend to lose track of time admiring it. It's truly a feast for the eyes! A treasure trove! While holding Tyrolean tapes collected from various countries around the world, I realized I was thinking about cat collars (laughs).

Stylish and Comfortable

Cat collars are worn to prevent escapes, but if you're going to wear one, it should be stylish and gentle on the skin, right? If it's heavy or stiff, it can only be a burden to the cat.

Although I came up with the idea of making stylish cat collars with Tyrolean tape, there was a small problem.

Actually, Tyrolean tape is woven with many colors of thread, so it's thick and a bit stiff. Considering how it would feel against a cat's skin, I had some concerns. After all, comfort is a point I'm particular about.

I had artisans make several prototypes, and I thoroughly tested them by wrapping them around my own wrist. After careful consideration, I found that making the side that touches the skin a soft, 100% cotton ribbon provided the best comfort.

We've finally been able to sell these cat collars, which leverage the design of Tyrolean tape while also being gentle on the skin!

Limited Quantity Sale

Tyrol cat collars are thicker than Poponeko's normal type cat collars. They are a bit stiffer, so they are recommended for cats who are used to wearing collars. Please note that they might not be suitable for cats wearing a collar for the first time or those who have experienced hair loss from collars in the past.

The new "Tyrol Cat Collar Series" will be available in limited quantities. Once the prepared stock runs out, sales will end.

This time, only ethnic-style designs are available, but we are continually making improvements and considering new designs. Please look forward to them.
