[New Product] The Appeal of Our Thin, Soft Tartan Check Cat Collar

Due to popular demand, we are finally releasing our new tartan cat collars!

Not only do they feature a heartwarming design, but we've also focused on the gentle feel of domestically produced fabric. This time, we'll introduce you to the full charm of our "Banshu-ori Tartan Cat Collar."

Stylish Tartan Check!

The new additions come in five colors: red, yellow, brown, blue, and black watch, from left to right!

Tartan check is a simple plaid pattern, but the atmosphere changes completely depending on the color combination. They're all lovely~!

We wanted the check pattern to look beautiful even when made into a cat collar. So, we found a tartan check of just the right size and crafted it with millimeter-perfect precision.

Both the simple type and the ribbon-attached type are very stylish. They look a bit elegant and somehow neat.

Soft and Gentle 100% Cotton

Originally, tartan check is a traditional woven fabric from Scotland, UK.

Today, it is loved all over the world, from luxury brands to casual brands. Burberry check is particularly famous (a certain comedian's outfit is also famous, lol).

Since it has the image of a scarf, one might instinctively imagine it to be made of wool, but at Poponeko, we use 100% cotton domestic fabric. We've adopted tartan check from Hyogo Prefecture's Nishiwaki City, known for its beautiful check patterns and pleasant texture, called Banshu-ori.

A characteristic of Banshu-ori is that it's a "yarn-dyed cotton fabric," meaning the threads are dyed before weaving. Therefore, even small tartan checks are very beautiful, and the deep colors give a sense of luxury.

When I gazed at the fabric, the overlapping lines were incredibly beautiful. I couldn't help but be captivated.

For kittens and senior cats

Banshu-ori has over 200 years of history and is even used in fashion items by top brands.

It's a thin fabric, yet soft. There's a dense feel where delicate threads overlap, and the smooth touch is incredibly pleasant. Carefully woven fabric has a distinct gentleness.

It's soft and smooth. Despite being thin and light, it has a solid cotton texture. It's a cat collar perfect for your cat's delicate skin.

Hair doesn't stick to it easily, and tartan check is just adorable! Kittens and senior cats alike can safely enjoy being stylish♪

Normal and Ribbon Types Available

Banshu-ori Tartan Cat Collars are available in all 5 colors, each with a normal type and a ribbon-attached type.
