Hello, this is YOKO from Poponeko.
The "Cat Health Notebook" is finally on sale. With its natural beige cover and a cute, sitting cat, it’s just adorable!
A health notebook packed with love for cats. Our cat-loving staff tried it out early, so I asked them how they are putting it to use.

Simple yet functional! We love the perfect size

The "Cat Health Notebook" is A6 size. It’s not too big and not too small—a size that’s easy to write in and convenient to carry around.
Since it’s the same size as a medication record or maternal and child health handbook, it won't be a nuisance in your bag.
And best of all, the cover is a delight. Not only does it keep the notebook clean, but it also has pockets to store appointment cards, insurance cards, vaccination certificates, and receipts!
Many of our staff members love photography, so it was also well-received that L-sized photos fit perfectly inside.♪
A design that blends into your interior even when left out

While many pet supplies feature flashy primary colors, these calm, muted colors are a bit rare.
We wanted people to use it daily, so we focused on a design that wouldn't look out of place if left on a table. At first glance, it looks just like a paperback book, which is quite stylish, isn't it?
We were also particular about the paper quality; we chose paper with the right thickness that doesn't bleed through and is smooth to write on with both ballpoint pens and pencils. Since the cover is sturdy, it's easy to write in even while standing!
Customize it to your cat!
If you color in the cat on the cover to look just like "your kitty," you'll have a one-of-a-kind notebook in the world. It’s cute even if you color the back view, or you could draw a portrait of your cat!
Even if you have multiple cats, it's great for telling whose notebook is whose. You’ll start to grow very fond of it.
That's an idea from one of our proud "cat parents" on staff, haha.
Jot it down as soon as you notice something

For your cat to live a long life, it's important to have regular check-ups and to notice any slight changes in their condition.
First, observe your cat closely. You don't have to record every day, but it's good to jot things down quickly when you think, "Hmm? Something seems off." This is also useful when explaining symptoms to a veterinarian.
There are a generous 20 pages for "Health Records," so you can use them to note down anything you notice.
Even staff members who usually struggle with keeping diaries found that by keeping the notebook somewhere visible, they developed the habit of noting down toilet and feeding routines. Apparently, they even look forward to their monthly weigh-ins.
The "Clinic Record" is convenient!
After a check-up at the animal hospital, you can write the symptoms in the "Clinic Record." It includes cat illustrations, which makes it handy when looking back later.
It’s also easier to explain things than relying on verbal explanations when you visit a different veterinary clinic. If you don't understand the technical terms, be sure to ask the vet and write them down so you don't forget.

Helpful when asking others to care for your cat
If you keep a record of your cat’s life, you can rest easy when asking someone else to look after them. That’s why we made it a point to ensure it’s "easy for anyone to understand."
You can easily share your cat's birthday, weight, vaccination and parasite prevention records, regular clinic information, and favorite play activities.
One staff member who leaves her cat with her parents several times a month says she writes a rough daily schedule on the "Notes" page to give to them. She said the notes on "where they like to be petted" and "where they get angry if petted" were surprisingly useful, haha.
Using the "Cat Health Notebook" to create a care manual for your cat is a great idea, isn't it!

No more wondering, "When was that again?"
When you live with a cat for a long time, you start to ask yourself "When was that again?" more often. It’s easy for the dates of past surgeries or illnesses to become hazy...
The "5-Year Record" page is useful for that. It’s very convenient because you can see five years of your cat's events at a glance on a two-page spread.
Of course, you can also leave plenty of fun records, like the day they became part of the family and other memories. Actually, this page is my personal favorite. It gives me something to look forward to, reflecting on these memories years down the road.

The super-practical bonus pages are amazing!

"It would be nice to have something like a subway map as a bonus," our staff said.
I carry a notebook myself, and I realized that, come to think of it, I always choose ones that come with maps or subway diagrams.
Thinking about what cat owners would want, we created bonus pages packed with information. All of them are a must-see!
Key points for detecting illness
To detect illness early, daily self-checks and health records are crucial. However, since cats try to hide it even when they aren't feeling well, it can be hard to notice...
To answer requests for "checkpoints to look for," we collaborated with Dr. Korin of Londbell Animal Clinic to summarize how to spot signs of your cat feeling unwell.
The illustrations of Cha-chan are cute, too♪ Please check this page if you feel like something is different than usual.

What to do if your cat escapes or gets lost
The number one worry for cat owners is their cat "escaping or getting lost." Preventing escape is important, but being able to act quickly if they do get out is just as vital.
We condensed the results of our research and summarized how to search for a lost cat in 5 STEPS. You can grasp the actions an owner should take at a glance, so please keep this in mind.
Also, it seems many owners don't realize they should "file a report" if their cat goes missing. It’s convenient to list in advance where to file a report, such as the police station or health center.

Emergency supply list & list of pet-friendly shelters
We also made a "Disaster Preparedness Checklist" of items you absolutely need when evacuating with your cat. Gather the necessary items and let your cat get used to them once.
Don't forget the "Cat Health Notebook" when evacuating. If you keep all information about your cat and your contact details in one place, you won't panic in an emergency.
The Yomiuri Shimbun’s "Bosai Nippon" also introduces pet health notebooks as high-priority disaster preparedness goods. They also feature Poponeko harnesses, so please check it out!
