How to measure for a recovery collar

Measure the narrowest part of your cat's neck. The trick is to gently part the fur so the measuring tape fits snugly against the skin. This snug measurement is your cat's "exact neck size."

*Note: If your cat is a bit wiggly or you don't have a soft measuring tape, you can use a piece of non-stretch string or yarn, and then measure the string with a ruler.

How to Choose the Right Recovery Collar Size

When fitting a recovery collar, you should leave enough allowance to slip 1 to 2 human fingers underneath. Adding about 0.8"–1.6" (2–4 cm) to their exact neck size will give you the perfect fit. Use the examples and size chart below as a guide.

Exact neck size 7.1" (18 cm) + Allowance 0.8" (2 cm) = Fits Neck Size 7.9" (20 cm)

Select Size M for the recovery collar

Exact neck size 9.8" (25 cm) + Allowance 0.8" (2 cm) = Fits Neck Size 10.6" (27 cm)
