How to Measure Your Cat's Exact Size
The "exact size" refers to the snug measurement of your cat's body without any slack.
When your beloved cat is relaxed, measure them while they are standing on all four paws. You will need to measure three areas: the base of the neck, the chest (girth), and the belly.
*Note: If your cat is a bit wiggly or you don't have a soft measuring tape, you can use a piece of non-stretch string or yarn, and then measure the string with a ruler.
Measuring the Base of the Neck
Measure slightly lower (towards the shoulders) than where a collar normally sits. Gently part the fur to ensure the tape fits snugly against the skin at the base of the neck.
Measuring the Chest (Girth)
Measure right behind your cat's front legs (the armpits). This is the most critical measurement when choosing a harness size. We recommend measuring 2-3 times to ensure accuracy.
Measuring the Belly
Measure the belly about 1.6"–2.0" (4-5 cm) further back from the armpits towards the tail. Make sure your cat is standing on all four paws while measuring.
How to Choose the Right Harness Size
Choose a size that matches their exact measurements or is about 0.4" (1 cm) larger. For safe usage, the most important factor is ensuring the chest girth fits perfectly, even more so than the base of the neck or belly measurements.
