How to Measure Your Cat's Exact Size
The "exact size" refers to the snug measurement of your cat's body without any slack.
When your beloved cat is relaxed, measure them while they are standing on all four paws. You will need to measure three areas: neck, chest (girth), and back length.
*Note: If your cat is a bit wiggly or you don't have a soft measuring tape, you can use a piece of non-stretch string or yarn, and then measure the string with a ruler.
Measuring the Neck
Use a soft tape to measure the narrowest part of your cat's neck. This is where a collar usually sits. Gently part the fur to ensure the tape fits snugly against the skin.
Measuring the Chest (Girth)
Measure the widest part of your cat's chest, usually just behind the front legs. The exact chest size is the most important measurement when choosing cat clothes. We recommend measuring 2-3 times to ensure accuracy.
Measuring the Back Length
Measure from about 0.4" (1 cm) below the collar line down to the base of the tail. Make sure your cat is standing on all four paws while measuring.
How to Choose the Right Clothing Size
Since the exact size is a snug fit, you'll need to add a little allowance (wiggle room) to each measurement when selecting clothes. Adding about 0.4" (1 cm) provides a comfortable fit that isn't too tight and is easy to put on.
More importantly than the neck or back length, ensuring the chest size fits correctly is crucial. An ill-fitting chest size can lead to unexpected accidents, so please be careful when choosing.

Select Size M, which has a finished chest size of 17.1" (43.5 cm)
