Cat's skin is very delicate, and it seems many cats experience skin problems.

The product development for Poponeko's "Cat-Friendly Clothing" began with thorough research. To find out what kind of cat clothing was desired by cats and their owners, and what challenges actual users faced, we conducted a survey of 1600 cat owners. Based on the information gathered, we repeatedly developed prototypes for clothing exclusively for cats, rather than repurposing dog clothing. Through repeated hypothesis testing on what kind of cat clothing is needed in different situations and what it should be like for each scenario, we have shaped the "needs as expressed by experienced individuals."

It can be washed at home to prevent the growth of bacteria and parasites that cause skin and fur problems, and to keep the skin clean.

Hand wash, or if using a washing machine, put it in a laundry net and wash it on "hand wash mode". For drying, smooth out wrinkles and hang dry in the shade.

■ How to get your cat used to clothing

• If it's the first time your cat is wearing clothes, don't force it; let them get used to it for short periods.
• Start with a few minutes to about 10 minutes as a guide, and if they strongly resist, take it off immediately.
  
• Take your time and let them get used to it slowly over several days to weeks.
