This "cat harness" is designed to prevent your cat from escaping when you're out and about, whether it's for disaster preparedness, vet visits, or car rides.
It's an item you'll want to have. Poponeko's cat harness was developed based on the results of a survey of 1,800 cat owners, using materials that are less likely to come off and are gentle on the skin and fur.

To understand what kind of cat harness is desired by cats and their owners, and what challenges actual users face, we conducted a survey of 1,800 cat owners. Based on the information obtained from their responses, we repeatedly developed prototypes for a cat-specific harness, not one adapted from dog harnesses.
■Ultra three-dimensional structure that achieves a secure, escape-resistant fit
We've created an ultra three-dimensional vest type that firmly covers your cat's soft body. Vest-type harnesses have a large surface area that touches the skin, making them less likely to come off. The back is securely fastened with a hook-and-loop fastener approximately 5cm wide. The highly cushioned lining gently and firmly holds your cat's upper body.

We also focused on "ease of use" for when you actually need it.
A product that requires reading an instruction manual to put on is not user-friendly. To thoroughly eliminate any hassle for owners, we repeatedly prototyped and adopted a simple design that is easy to put on and take off. You can quickly put it on before your cat has a chance to object, ensuring a positive experience for your cat.
■Gentle on skin and fur, made with organic cotton
The concept of "hair-loss resistant cat collars" has been applied to this harness as well.
The lining that touches your cat's skin is made of soft, domestically produced organic cotton, reducing the burden on skin and fur. The hook-and-loop fastener on the back is a soft type, also used in human baby clothes, to avoid discomfort for your cat. The outer fabric is a domestically produced cotton-poly denim fabric that has the necessary firmness for a secure fit, is stain-resistant, thin, and conforms well to the body, minimizing hindrance to your cat's movement.
■Poponeko harnesses can be washed at home
To prevent the growth of bacteria and parasites that can cause skin and coat problems and to keep the skin clean, this harness can be washed at home.
Hand wash, or machine wash in a laundry net on a "hand wash cycle." For drying, straighten out wrinkles and air dry in the shade.

■How to accustom your cat to the harness
- When wearing a cat harness for the first time, most cats will dislike it or stop moving.
- When wearing a cat harness for the first time, do not force it; accustom your cat to it for short periods.
- Start with a few minutes to about 10 minutes as a guideline, and if your cat dislikes it, remove it immediately.
- Even if you can put it on, if your cat freezes and doesn't move or lies down, remove it immediately without forcing it.
- Take your time and accustom your cat slowly over several days to several weeks.
