Cats have very delicate skin, and many of them suffer from skin problems.

When a cat continuously licks due to itching or discomfort, or persistently licks its body despite having no skin abnormalities, it is called "excessive grooming."

■Product developed "exclusively for cats" based on a survey of 1600 cat owners

The product development of "Poponeko's gentle clothing for cats" began with thorough research. To find out what kind of cat clothing cats and their owners need, and what kind of problems actual users face, we conducted a survey of 1600 cat owners. Based on the information obtained from their responses, we repeatedly developed prototypes of clothing exclusively for cats, rather than simply adapting dog clothing. We repeatedly tested hypotheses about what kind of cat clothing is needed in different situations, and how it should be designed for each scenario, turning "needs expressed by experienced owners" into reality.

To prevent the growth of germs and parasites that cause skin and fur problems, and to keep the skin clean, it can be washed at home.

Hand wash or, if using a washing machine, place in a laundry net and select the "hand wash" mode. For drying, smooth out wrinkles and air dry in the shade.

■How to get your cat used to clothes

• When your cat wears clothes for the first time, don't force it; get them used to it for short periods of time.
• Start with a few minutes to about 10 minutes, and if your cat strongly dislikes it, remove the clothes immediately.
  
• Take your time and gradually get them used to it over a few days to a few weeks.
