A "cat harness" is designed to prevent your cat from escaping during disasters, vet visits, car rides, and other outings.
It's an item you definitely want to have. Poponeko's cat harness was developed based on a survey of 1,800 cat owners, using materials that are less likely to slip off and are gentle on the skin and fur.

Poponeko's "cat-friendly harness" product development began with thorough research.
To determine what kind of cat harness cat owners and their cats needed, and what problems actual users faced, we conducted a survey of 1,800 cat owners. Based on the information gathered from their responses, we repeatedly developed prototypes of a harness specifically for cats, rather than just adapting dog harnesses.

The biggest concern with cat harnesses is that they might slip off.
We've created an ultra-three-dimensional vest type that firmly covers your cat's soft body. Vest-style harnesses have a larger surface area touching the skin, making them less likely to slip off. The back is securely fastened with a hook-and-loop closure approximately 5cm wide. The highly cushioned lining gently and firmly holds your cat's upper body.

■ Excellent ease of use: easy to put on and take off
We also focused on "ease of putting on" for when it's actually used.
If you have to read instructions to put it on, it's not user-friendly. To thoroughly eliminate any hassle for cat owners, we repeatedly prototyped and adopted a simple design that is easy to put on and take off. You can quickly put it on before your cat has a chance to object, ensuring they don't develop a negative impression.
■ Gentle on skin and fur, made with organic cotton
We applied the concept of "hair loss-resistant cat collars" to the harness as well.
The lining that touches your cat's skin is made from soft, domestically produced organic cotton, reducing the burden on skin and fur. The hook-and-loop fastener on the back is a soft type, also used in human baby clothes, to avoid discomfort for your cat. The outer fabric is made from domestically produced cotton-poly denim, which has the necessary firmness for a secure fit, is stain-resistant, thin, and conforms well to the body, minimizing hindrance to your cat's movement.
■ Poponeko's harnesses can be washed at home
To prevent the growth of bacteria and parasites that can cause skin and fur problems and to keep the skin clean, it can be washed at home.
Hand wash, or if using a washing machine, place it in a laundry net and use the "hand wash cycle." When drying, smooth out wrinkles and air dry in the shade.

■ How to acclimate your cat to a harness
- When wearing a cat harness for the first time, most cats will dislike it or become immobile.
- When wearing a cat harness for the first time, do not force it; gradually acclimate your cat starting with short periods.
- Start with a guideline of a few minutes to about 10 minutes, and if your cat resists, remove it immediately.
- Even if you manage to put it on, if your cat freezes and doesn't move, or lies down, do not force it and remove it immediately.
- Acclimate your cat slowly over several days to several weeks without rushing.

- It may slip off depending on the size fit or your cat's temperament. We cannot guarantee 100% that it will not slip off.
- Avoid prolonged use, as it may interfere with grooming.
- To prevent entanglement accidents, please use under the owner's supervision.
- As this is a handmade item, there may be slight variations in fabric pattern placement and stitching finish.
- If it becomes heavily soiled, or if the outer fabric frays or tears, please replace it with a new one.
- Colors may appear slightly different from the actual product depending on your monitor settings.
