This "cat harness" helps prevent your cat from escaping when used as an emergency preparedness item during disasters, or when visiting the vet or going on car rides. We adopted a simple design that is easy to put on and take off. You can quickly put it on your cat before they have a chance to dislike it, so it doesn't leave a negative impression on your cat. The lining that touches the skin is made of organic cotton, and the outer material is a thin denim that fits the body easily. This is a safe, domestically produced item. A leash of the same color is also included.

It's an item you'll want to have. Poponeko's cat harness was developed based on a survey of 1,800 cat owners, using materials that are resistant to coming off and gentle on the skin and fur.
■Product Development Exclusively for Cats Based on a Survey of 1,800 Cat Owners
Poponeko's "cat-friendly harness" product development began with thorough research.
To determine what kind of cat harness cat owners and their cats need, and what actual users struggle with, we conducted a survey of 1,800 cat owners. Based on the information gathered from their responses, we repeatedly developed prototypes for a harness specifically designed for cats, not just a repurposed dog harness.
■Super three-dimensional structure for a secure, anti-escape fit
The biggest concern with cat harnesses is that they might come off.
We developed a super three-dimensional vest type that firmly covers the soft body of a cat. Vest types have a wider contact area with the skin, making them less likely to come off. The back is securely fastened with a hook-and-loop fastener approximately 5 cm wide. The highly cushioned lining gently and firmly holds the cat's upper body.

■Easy to put on and take off, excellent usability
We also focused on "ease of putting on" for when it's actually used.
If it requires reading an instruction manual to put on, it's not user-friendly. To completely eliminate any hassle for cat owners, we repeatedly made prototypes, resulting in a simple design that is easy to put on and take off. You can quickly put it on your cat before they have a chance to dislike it, so it doesn't leave a negative impression on your cat.
■Gentle on skin and fur, uses organic cotton
The concept of "cat collars that are less likely to cause hair loss" was also applied to our harnesses.
The lining that touches the cat's skin is made of soft, domestically produced organic cotton, reducing the burden on skin and fur. The hook-and-loop fastener on the back uses a soft type, also found in human baby clothes, to avoid discomfort for the cat. The outer fabric uses a domestically produced cotton-poly denim fabric that has the necessary firmness for a secure fit, is stain-resistant, thin, and fits the body shape easily, minimizing interference with the cat's movement.
■Poponeko harnesses can be washed at home
To prevent the growth of germs and parasites that can cause skin and fur problems, and to keep the skin clean, it can be washed at home.
Hand wash, or if using a washing machine, place in a laundry net and wash on the "hand wash" cycle. For drying, smooth out wrinkles and hang dry in the shade.

■How to get your cat used to a harness
- When wearing a cat harness for the first time, most cats will dislike it or stop moving.
- When wearing a cat harness for the first time, do not force it; let your cat get used to it for short periods.
- Start with a guideline of a few minutes to about 10 minutes, and if your cat dislikes it, take it off immediately.
- Even if you manage to put it on, if your cat freezes and stops moving, or lies down, do not force it and take it off immediately.
- Take your time and let your cat gradually get used to it over several days to several weeks.

- Avoid prolonged use, as it may interfere with grooming.
- To prevent accidents such as getting caught, please use it while under the owner's supervision.
- As this is a handmade item, there may be slight differences in the pattern placement of the fabric and the finish of the seams.
