Poponeko's "Cat-friendly clothing" product development began with thorough research. To find out what kind of cat clothing cats and their owners need, and what problems actual users face, we conducted a survey of 1,600 cat owners. Based on the information obtained from their responses, we repeatedly developed prototypes as clothing specifically for cats, not just repurposed dog clothing. We repeatedly tested hypotheses about what kind of cat clothing is needed in different situations and created products that reflect the "needs spoken by experienced owners."

To prevent the growth of bacteria and parasites that cause skin and fur problems and to keep the skin clean, it can be washed at home.

Hand wash or, if using a washing machine, place it in a laundry net and use the "hand wash mode." For drying, straighten out wrinkles and hang dry in the shade.

■How to get your cat used to cat clothing

• When first putting on cat clothing, do not force it. Start with short periods of time.
• Initially, aim for a few minutes to 10 minutes, and if your cat strongly dislikes it, remove it immediately.
  
• Gradually get them used to it over several days to weeks.
