A "cat harness" is designed to prevent your cat from escaping during emergencies, vet visits, car rides, or other outings.
It's an item every cat owner should have. Poponeko's cat harness was developed based on the results of a survey of 1,800 cat owners, using materials that are escape-resistant and gentle on the skin and fur.

Poponeko's "cat-friendly harness" product development began with thorough research.
To understand what kind of cat harness cat owners and their cats need, and what challenges actual users face, we conducted a survey of 1,800 cat owners. Based on the information gathered, we repeatedly developed prototypes for a harness specifically for cats, rather than merely adapting a dog harness.
■ Super three-dimensional structure provides a secure fit that prevents escape
The biggest concern with cat harnesses is that they might come off.
We've created a super three-dimensional vest-type harness that securely covers your cat's soft body. The vest-type design has a wide contact area with the skin, making it resistant to slipping off. The back is securely fastened with a hook-and-loop closure approximately 5cm wide. The highly cushioned lining gently yet firmly holds your cat's upper body.

We also focused on "ease of putting on" for when it's actually used.
If you need to read instructions to put it on, it's not user-friendly. To completely eliminate any hassle for cat owners, we repeatedly prototyped and adopted a simple design that's easy to put on and take off. You can quickly put it on your cat before they have a chance to get annoyed, ensuring a positive experience.
■ Gentle on skin and fur, made with organic cotton
We applied the concept of our "hair loss-resistant cat collar" to this harness.
The lining, which touches your cat's skin, is made from domestically produced organic cotton with a luxuriously soft texture, reducing stress on the skin and fur. The hook-and-loop fastener on the back is a soft type, also used in human baby clothing, to prevent discomfort for your cat. The outer fabric is a thin, domestically produced cotton-poly chambray material that has the necessary firmness for a secure fit, is resistant to dirt, and easily conforms to your cat's body shape, minimizing interference with their movement.
■ Poponeko harnesses are washable at home
To prevent the growth of germs and parasites that can cause skin and fur problems, and to keep the skin clean, this product can be washed at home.
Hand wash, or if using a washing machine, place it in a laundry net and use the "hand wash cycle." When drying, smooth out wrinkles and hang dry in the shade.

■ How to get your cat used to a harness
- When first wearing a cat harness, most cats will dislike it or stop moving.
- When first putting on a cat harness, do not force it; gradually get your cat used to it by starting with short periods.
- Start with about a few minutes to 10 minutes, and if your cat shows discomfort, remove it immediately.
- If your cat freezes or lies down even after you've managed to put it on, do not force it and remove it immediately.
- Gradually accustom your cat over several days to several weeks, without rushing.
